NARI certification is a challenging process requiring extensive knowledge of the industry and a commitment to professional conduct. Homeowners can gain a sense of security and trust knowing that the NARI certified remodeling professional they hire has: received an acceptable review by the NARI Certification Board, completed an intensive course covering a broad range or critical industry issues, successfully completed a comprehensive written examination and completed regular continuing education courses.

Certified Remodelers (CR) are professional remodelers who provide a full rage of remodeling services. To become a Certified Remodeler, candidates must possess skill and knowledge in a broad range or business management and technical skill areas.

Certified Lead Carpenters (CLC) are hands-on field personnel who oversee every aspect of the project – customer satisfaction, personnel management, administration, etc. – while working on the project.

The National Association of the Reomeling Industry (NARI) is the only national association dedicated solely to the remodeling industry. NARI’s focus on is on professional conduct, continuing education and training, and fair and ethical treatment within the industry.

Certifications

Residential/Light Commercial Contractors License – Georgia State Licensing Board of Residential and General Contractors

Georgia state law requires homebuilders and remodelers to be licensed to perform projects $2500 or greater as regulated by the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors.  Small Carpenters at Large is licensed to provide renovation services for residential and light commercial buildings.

Master Certified Remodeler – National Association of Remodeling Industry

The MCR identifies Certified Remodelers that have withstood the test of time and continue to be successful within the industry.

Certified Remodelers (CR) are professional remodelers who provide a full range of remodeling services. To become a Certified Remodeler, candidates must possess skill and knowledge in a broad range of business management and technical skill areas.

Lead Certified Renovator – Georgia Environmental Protection Division

State law (which parallel the federal requirements) requires that all RRP (renovation, repair and paint) activity is performed by a certified contractor.  The program is designed to minimize the spread of lead dust and debris during RRP activities at target housing and child-occupied facilities built before 1978.

Level 1A Certified (Erosion and Sediment Control) – Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission

Anyone involved in land development, design, review, permitting, construction, monitoring, inspection, or any land-disturbing activity in Georgia must meet education requirements and be certified by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission program developed in consultation with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and the Stakeholder Advisory Board.
