  • Amanda Johnson

    Amanda Johnson

    Lead Architectural Designer, Co-Owner

    State Licensed Contractor, Earthcraft Builder

Originally from Charleson, SC, Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Design from the College of Architecture at Clemson University. Since graduating college, her design experience has consisted of work in new construction, renovation, and remodeling. Having worked for commercial and residential architectural firms and design-build companies in Charleston (as well as a brief period in northern California), Amanda found herself drawn to the residential scale and design-build process. It allows her to work personally with homeowners through the design phase and continue to be involved through construction to see each project to completion. When SCAL's founder, Danny Feig-Sandoval was looking for a designer in 2001, Amanda was thrilled to join the SCAL family.

Amanda worked alongside Danny for over 20 years learning the ins and outs of Atlanta's residential renovation industry. Danny set a wonderful example and established priorities of quality craftsmanship, treating people fairly, maintaining a good work/life balance, keeping stress levels low, and enjoying everyday life. When Danny decided to retire, Amanda was happy to carry on his philosophy alongside her coworkers, Theresa and Justin, to become the new owners of SCAL. As the company has evolved over the years, it continues to maintain the values Danny established and is a place Amanda enjoys being a part of every day.

Amanda and her husband, Marty, reside in Decatur with their sons, Ellis and Reese, and their dog Lucy. When she's not busy designing home renovations, she is listening to live music, enjoying Ellis's artwork and guitar playing, going to Reese's basketball games, reading, working in the yard, and visiting her family in Charleston.

  • Justin Larrison

    Justin Larrison

    Remodeling Specialist, Co-Owner

    State Licensed Contractor

Justin has called Atlanta home since his family moved here in 1980. His path into construction started almost by accident, where what began as a summer carpentry job evolved into a career dedicated to residential remodeling, acquiring extensive experience in everything from complex renovations and additions to custom home construction.

Jusin brought that hands-on experience and deep knowledge of the craft to SCAL, where he eventually joined Amanda and Theresa in taking the reins from the company's founder, Danny Feig-Sandoval. Together, the three have carried forward the values Danny built the company on: quality craftsmanship, treating people fairly, and keeping a healthy balance between hard work and family life.

After three decades immersed in Atlanta's residential remodeling industry, Justin has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, practical problem-solving, and deep understanding of residential remodeling. As a Remodeling Specialist, he combines technical knowledge with a client-centered approach to guide projects from concept through completion, creating spaces that improve the way families live and thrive in their homes.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife, Carrie, their four children, and two dogs. In his free time, you'll find him in the workshop, outdoors, or searching for Atlanta's best tacos.
