After 42 years we decided that the time has arrived for some renovations of our own. Introducing our new SCAL Home logo to go with our newly renovated SCAL Home office on Dekalb Avenue.

Our renovated logo is part of SCAL's ongoing evolution. Our business has grown and evolved over the last four decades and we felt that it was time for a change. We have redesigned our logo to reflect who we are today and symbolize our future.

We will always be Small Carpenters at Large, Inc., but you may have noticed over the last year or so that we have started referring to ourselves as SCAL Home. Even though Small Carpenters at Large has a long history, and the name is very catchy, it often creates confusion. We do not currently perform small repairs, nor are we a company full of carpenters. As a full-service design/build residential remodeling company, we thought it was time that our name better reflect all aspects of what we do. Over the years our employees, trade partners, and clients have used SCAL, our acronym, to refer to us. It felt natural to start calling ourselves SCAL too.

Like any good renovation, the new logo concept started many months ago with design. We worked to design a logo with a fresh, modern look which reflects the direction Amanda, Justin and I have led SCAL over the last four years. We cherish the craftsman house that has characterized our logo for over 40 years but did not want it to limit us. Renovating historic craftsman homes is only one part of what we do.

While SCAL has changed over the years, much has remained the same. Our commitment to adapting Atlanta's older homes to meet the needs of an ever-changing world through award-winning craftwork and high-quality client relationships are at the heart of what we do. Thank you for taking this journey with us and creating opportunities for us to do what we love!
