Ansley Park Kitchen Remodel

"This was our fourth renovation with SCAL. We knew what to expect, but even so, they managed to exceed my expectations. SCAL's work was on budget and on time. Hopefully we are done renovating for a while, but when the next project arises, there is no doubt who we will be hiring. SCAL Home is our team, for sure."

Project Highlights

  • French bistro style kitchen
  • Improved storage and traffic flow
  • Creative hardware and custom glass shelves

Before/After Floorplans

This large and beautiful historic home was undeserving of the small, outdated and terribly designed kitchen. We incorporated the kitchen and adjacent pantry area, gaining light from an additional window while maximizing cabinet storage. An awkward peninsula was removed, and the new layout allowed for comfortable traffic flow. Stained wood cabinets, a crackled glaze subway tile backsplash, an apron-front sink and white marble quartz counters help achieve the desired style of a French bistro. Custom designed glass shelves are lit to display an antique bottle collection, and a variety of cabinet hardware reflects the homeowners’ creative personality. Highly efficient cabinetry houses all of the items the cluttered pantry held before, and updated appliances provide all of the modern conveniences. The end result is a beautiful space with creative details and greatly improved functionality.
