“The new kitchen and back porch have added an entirely different dimension to entertaining at home. I never would have imagined I would enjoy my home as much as do.” – Angie Fife
As part of this renovation that converted a ranch into a 2-story Craftsman style home, expanding and updating the kitchen was a priority. A wall was removed to allow the kitchen to extend into the adjacent family room area, and white vinyl flooring was replaced with hardwoods to match the rest of the house. Outdated white cabinetry was replaced with natural cherry cabinets designed to maximize storage and efficiency. Crackled glaze backsplash tile and granite countertops are the perfect complement to the cherry cabinets and reflect the desired warmth of the Craftsman style. A peninsula was designed for great seating, storage and counter space. A tall pantry cabinet provides valuable storage, and an adjacent bar area is ideal for entertaining. Pendant lights over the peninsula are the perfect touch to this successful kitchen renovation that has become a focal point of the home.
