Before/After Floorplans

This screened porch was part of a larger renovation that included transforming a dated ranch into a two-story craftsman home. The vaulted porch helps change the horizontal character of this 1950’s home. The use of natural materials, such as stone and cedar, compliment the natural beauty of this wooded lot. The French doors from the breakfast room open into the new porch providing a view of the stone fireplace and vaulted porch framing. A distressed cedar mantel was installed at the fireplace, as well as a raised hearth that provides a nice display area. The porch feels like an extension of the interior spaces, making both areas feel larger. With the fireplace, the porch is a comfortable place to spend time year-round and is one of the highlights of this award-winning renovation.
