  • Exposed hand-hewn beams

Before/After Floorplans

Finishes were outdated in this 1920’s bungalow kitchen, and a door to the laundry room interrupted the working triangle taking up useful cabinet and counter space. By relocating the door, we were able to greatly increase functionality in the kitchen, creating valuable counter work space on either side of the range. Black and white vinyl floors were replaced with heart of pine to match the rest of the house. White Shaker style cabinets, crackled glaze subway tile backsplash, and marble quartz countertops created the classic white kitchen the homeowners wanted. The exposed hand-hewn dark stained beams add warmth and a nice contrast to the white finishes. The bright new kitchen provides the highest level of efficiency and updated finishes while perfectly complimenting the style of this historic home.
