The clients asked us to replace their existing carport with a structure that would house a 2-car garage, exercise room, and storage area. We wanted to give the clients the space they needed without overpowering the existing house, backyard, or neighboring homes. The simple hip roof design allowed for a minimum height solution and complimented the existing house nicely. Additional details used to match the existing house included: exposed rafter tails, door and window style, materials, and paint colors. The way the new structure was positioned on the site allowed for a generous yard and patio space and created a convenient traffic pattern to come and go between the garage and the house.
