Before/After Floorplans

The homeowners in this historic 1920’s bungalow needed more space for their growing family. Our kitchen renovation opens to a family room addition with finished basement space below which includes a bedroom, bath, and laundry area. The dramatic ceiling vault required a structural beam that we finished as a unique design feature. Special efforts were made to honor the historic features of this home such as relocating and reusing an existing stained glass window, installing reclaimed heart pine floors and railing cap in the kitchen and family room, and matching the existing trim on the home. New windows and French doors maximize natural light and views of the backyard. A new single level deck is the perfect connection between the expanded house and backyard. The roofline and exterior details tie into the original house seamlessly making our addition look as if it has always been there.
