The clients wanted to update their kitchen with all of the modern conveniences, while maintaining the character of their 1900's Victorian home. They requested a design that opened up the back of the house. We were to enlarge the existing kitchen and incorporate a laundry room, breakfast room, and screened porch. By creatively rearranging the spaces and building an addition off of the back of the house, we were able to enlarge the kitchen and open it up to the backyard views. Stairs to a future attic addition were incorporated into the kitchen design. The kitchen cabinets were designed to resemble furniture pieces and provided many display areas consistent with the built-in cabinetry in the house. All of the details and finishes used reflected the style of the Victorian home.
