Inman Park Exterior Restoration

Award Winner!

Project Highlights

  • Exterior Restoration of 1890's Victorian Home
  • Custom-Milled Redwood Exterior Trim
  • Porch Floor was Replaced with Ipe Tongue and Groove Wood Flooring

The exterior of this 1890's Neil Denning house located in historic Inman Park was in need of complete renovation. The original siding was beyond repair and was replaced with Hardiplank siding, a cement fiber board resistant to rot and decay. The front porch column bases, handrails, and balusters were all rebuilt and installed with the columns the clients had restored. All of the exterior trim was replaced with redwood and custom-milled to match the original. The front porch flooring was replaced with "Ipe" tongue and groove wood flooring, and the porch ceiling was replaced with beaded pine to match the original. Our painting crew detailed the painting to match the color scheme of a Victorian house the clients had seen in a photograph. Other outstanding details of this project included the rebuilt chimneys, copper gutters, and renovated front door.
