The owners of this 1950’s ranch home wanted to renovate their inefficient kitchen while creating a dramatic change to the whole area around the kitchen. A wall separated the rarely used formal living and dining areas from the kitchen and den. We removed the wall and vaulted the entire area making one open space visible as you walk into the front door. Two sitting areas and the dining space surround the new kitchen. A large island with a unique pendant light above creates a wonderful focal point. The modern conveniences of the new kitchen provide all of the tools a cook could need, and the new open space is perfect for entertaining. The homeowners now feel like they are using and enjoying all of the areas of their home.
