“SCAL gave us a realistic estimate and told us up front some of the challenges we might face along the way, and when we encountered some challenges, we were prepared.” – Terry E. & Theresa S.
The kitchen in this mid-century home was small, outdated and lacked sufficient storage/counter space. As part of a larger renovation, we removed the wall between the kitchen and office area to expand the kitchen and relocate the dining area. We relocated the back door to the new adjoining family room to allow for continuous cabinet space and included a peninsula with seating. Linoleum tile was replaced with hardwood flooring to match the rest of the house. The natural maple cabinetry, quartz countertops, venatino marble-looking backsplash tile, new appliances, and geometric pulls create the classically modern look the client’s desired. The new cabinets and open shelving are loaded with custom details to maximize storage and efficiency. The efficient design only increased the kitchen size by a few feet, but doubles the amount of cabinetry and countertop space in the room. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and makes every room in the house feel more spacious. This successful kitchen renovation is now a focal point of the home and beautifully ties into the new addition.
