“Integrity in the pricing and the work made me a repeat customer of SCAL. We won a regional award for design and build in Phase I, and Phase II now is almost complete and beautiful!” – Anne Landrum
The previous kitchen had plenty of space, but the layout was very inefficient. The refrigerator was located out of the working triangle in the breakfast area, and the traffic flow to the back door was interrupted by an awkward wall cabinet. We expanded the kitchen into the entire space and designed a center island with seating to replace the breakfast area function. Positioning all cabinetry to one side of the back door allowed for comfortable traffic flow. The finishes that include classic white Shaker style cabinets, light backsplash tile, and dark quartz perimeter countertops all combine beautifully. The charcoal stained island with a white marble quartz counter is a furniture style piece that provides valuable seating and storage space. The renovation not only greatly improves this kitchen’s functionality, but also reflects a classic style that will stand the test of time.
