This home's back yard was uninviting - the deck and patio needed repair, and the upper portion of the yard was overgrown and unusable. The homeowners wanted a comfortable outdoor space to entertain, relax and enjoy their back yard. This became especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic when we all changed the way we gathered and entertained. To achieve this back yard oasis, we extended a vaulted roof over a new patio area, incorporating a new cedar planked privacy wall. Concrete walls and pavers were installed to provide a durable and contemporary finish. At the uncovered patio, we installed a hot tub, fire pit, and built-in floating bench. The existing deck was reconfigured and rebuilt. The addition of horizontal custom metal railings are practical and modern. With the help of some local goats, the upper portion of the yard was cleared, revealing beautiful trees and the perfect sitting area to enjoy views of the back yard. We added landscaping and landscape lighting throughout the yard. The addition of outdoor heaters make this a space the family can enjoy all year round.
