This existing open deck on the back of this home was weathered and unwelcoming. We built a screened porch addition over the existing deck and vaulted the roof to allow for the maximum amount of light and back yard views. The cracked concrete floor was covered with durable porcelain tile made to look like natural stone and was the perfect complement to the natural cedar framing. New stairs led down to the patio seating area making the connection the outdoors complete. The new porch is an extension of the home, providing a comfortable living area sheltered from the sun and screened from bugs and allowing the homeowner to enjoy outdoor living all year.
