The owners of this ranch home had previously completed a second floor addition, but the front and back elevations lacked depth and interest. We replaced the small stoop at the front door with a large and welcoming covered entry porch. Tapered wood columns, a custom metal railing, ipe wood flooring, stone foundation and walkways, metal roof, and a custom entry door are all details that make this entrance to the home a beautiful one. At the back wall, we converted an existing raised patio into a vaulted screened porch with a stone floor that extends onto the adjacent grilling patio. On the other side of the screened porch, we built steps down to an open deck area. Two levels of covered porches were added to the bedroom end of the home. This renovation increased the curb appeal of the home and allowed the homeowners to extend their living area into the outdoors.
