Before/After FloorplansThis growing family needed more living and storage space in their small bungalow. We designed an attic addition that maintained the proportions and character of the original house and added three bedroom and two bathrooms upstairs. The new stairwell was positioned to be a visual feature at the front entry. Custom stained glass windows in the stairwell add a personal touch as they light the entry to the new second floor. The upstairs layout includes a primary suite with a large closet and beautiful bathroom. The walnut vanity, glass wall tile and custom medicine cabinets are a few of the custom details used to personalize the design. We also created space for a laundry closet, two kids’ bedrooms, and a shared hall bath. On the first floor, we expanded the footprint slightly as we converted a small bedroom into a comfortable family room open to the kitchen and new screened porch addition. Our renovation provides everything this family needed to be comfortable in their home for many years to come.
