“Working with the folks at SCAL was a pleasure. They were professional, thorough, responsive and made the entire process much easier than we had envisioned. We will definitely use them again!” – Alison & Chris W.
The kitchen in this bungalow was outdated and inefficient. A poorly built addition blocked views of the backyard, and a single door to the dining room left the kitchen feeling very closed off from the rest of the house. We demolished the previous addition and created an improved floor plan that included a larger kitchen with French doors leading to the backyard patio. Arched openings were created to match the existing and allowed for front-to-back views through the house making the kitchen and surrounding areas feel much brighter and more spacious. Classic white Shaker style cabinets, marble backsplash tile, black granite countertops and a stained quarter-sawn oak island reflect the desired Craftsman style. The cabinetry provides much needed storage including a wall of pantry cabinets, open shelves, and glass-front cabinets. Vintage style pendant lights and glass cabinet knobs add the perfect touch to this successful kitchen renovation.
