Before/After Floorplans

These homeowners found their deck, partially covered by a breezeway, uncomfortable and hard to keep clean. A bay window extended into the deck, contributing to the unattractive roofline around the spae. We removed the bay and breezway and rebuilt one continuous roof to cover a new screened porch. Simplifying the choppy roofline instantly improved the look of this home. We installed a 12-foot-wide sliding glass door to connect the porch to the adjoining family room. A small window at an interior bar area was replaced with a large top-hinge window that opens to create a pass-through porch bar. The interior bar, with floating shelves, creative wallpaper, and unique glass pendant lights, feels as if it is a part of the screened porch space. Infrared heaters and ceiling fans were installed to keep the porch comfortable during any season. This wonderful renovation successfully extends the home's living space to the outdoors and provides the perfect place to entertain.
