A finished basement was the best solution for this family that wanted more space and had already completed an attic addition to their home. We incorporated a media room, exercise space, game area, full bath, and office/ guest bedroom. A new stair with custom railing detail was added to match the existing on the first floor. Custom cabinetry was designed for the media room, game area and office space including a Murphy bed when a guest bedroom is needed. The curved lines of the cabinetry reflect the Art Deco style the homeowners desired, and the stained wood creates a nice contrast to the natural concrete floors. What began as a dark crawlspace was transformed into a bright and spacious basement that provides the homeowners with the additional room they needed while reflecting their appreciation for high quality and style.
